This award is the society's top honor, reserved for exemplary members who have served for more than 25 years in district and state horticulture. The following excerpt was taken from a paragraph used describe Margaret's achievements:

"Margaret has made significant contributions to state and district horticulture as a garden writer, an Itasca County Master Gardener and by serving on the MSHS District 8 and the Grand Rapids Garden Club Boards.
